Cheltenham Triathlon Club
For experienced and aspiring triathletes
Bourton 10k 26/02/12

18 members of Cheltenham Triathlon Club came out of hibernation early on Sunday to record some impressive times at the Bourton 10k.

The benign conditions played into the hands of the summer-loving triathletes and consequently their times were unexpectedly fast.

The fastest Tri club member was Richard Evershed, who came in 20th overall in an extremely impressive 34:55, despite his belief that the course was 150m too long. Just two minutes or so behind RIchard was Simon Clarke who was pleased with his 37:30. Josh Hand (in preparation for the London Marathon) and James Wilkinson both recorded PBs (Wilkinson by a full 20 seconds).

Further down the finishing list Tom Cantle stormed through in 46:33 before dashing off to Newent to play Hockey in the afternoon. Sally Freeman (one of only two female members to take part this year) found Bourton tougher than usual, finishing in 45:35.
